A Scone For Breakfast has been added to 35 tunebooks.
Written by Robert Winokur, a Santa Barbara Whistle player, who says…
"I think it was in the first half of 1993, when a catering truck came twice a day to where I was working, the driver one morning asked me what I was doing on the weekend. "Playing music," I said. "What do you play?" he asked. "Tin whistle," says I. "What’s that?" he asks. So I said, "I’ll show you when you come back this afternoon." And I went away with a raisin scone in my hand thinking, "Now, what am I going to play when he comes back?" and the A part of this tune came into my head. So I wrote it down before I forgot it, and called it "A Scone for Breakfast" because that’s what was happening when I thought of the tune. A month later the B part came to me. "
