happy new year!!

Felice Anno Nuevo, ma…

Aren’t they playing: A2cA BGGB|cAe2- eefd|….?

Thank you for a great tune.

Felice Anno *Nuovo*

Sorry for a different dialect.

The lass that made two notes in the same time

they play "A " and "e" in the ame time ( on a fiddle ).
I thinbk that the main note is "A", not "e".

The Lass That Made The Bed For Me; aka Da Tief Upon Da Lum AND “Un-named Shetland Reel”

Hi all,

Just wanted to mention that the "Nordic Fiddler’s Bloc" has recorded this tune as "Un-named Shetland Reel" on their eponymous debut recording.

Re: The Lass That Made The Bed For Me

I also know this as the Un-named Reel from Shetland. Ah well.

You can here it here: https://soundcloud.com/user-155461785/un-named-reel-from-shetland

The pdf is available from graeme@cracklingsmarts.com, or wait for the V0.5 release of Weaver MacFarlane’s Choon Book (a collection of ensemble arrangements for 2 fiddle lines, cello and comp, Celtic fiddle ensemble stuff, free from cracklingsmarts.com).

Re: The Lass That Made The Bed For Me

The Thief on the Lom is a different tune but played in in a set before "Un-named…)

Re: The Lass That Made The Bed For Me

Andrew Polson played this on the 1973 album Shetland Fiddle Music. According to the booklet which accompanies that recording, it "may once have had the local title "Bruntfoot"".
