Irish Jubilee

Just re-discovered this mighty little album, to which I haven’t listened for too long. Great jig, also.

The Humours Of Winnington X: 1

This setting is almost identical as the tune published in P.W. Joyce’s Old Irish Music and Songs (1909), p. 339, no. 677. Joyce wrote : “From Mr. MacDowell. Winnington or Winningtown is in Wexford.”
The Fiddler’s Companion notices that the B part is shared with The Humours of Ballinaraheen (https://thesession.org/tunes/14894).
