This tune is found in “The Drummer’s and Fifer’s Guide: or Self-instructor” by George B. Bruce and Daniel D. Emmett, first published in 1862, the entirety of which may be found here: http://www.fifedrum.org/resources/music/be/
It is standard fare for American Fife and Drum Corps, although many of the tunes are traditional from the other side of the pond.
Also, this is the actual tune found as the second tune of track 10 on Skip Healy’s “Purgatory Chasm”. On the liner notes, the tune is referred to as “The Cuckoo’s Nest,” which is an entirely different tune.
