A pretty little tune from Altan’s first album.. what does the title mean?

Title

An tSéanchailleach Gallda

The Old Foreign Hag

It could probobly be a good tune to confuse the audience, because whenever you decide it just HAS to be a major key, it changes to sound like a minor key, and then it just has to be minor, then it is major again.

I like it!

Could mean "the Old Foreign Hag". Might also just mean ‘the mean/surly old woman". Can’t "gallda" occasionally even mean "Protestant"?
