Here’s the setting from Jimmy Noonan’s recording, The Maple Leaf. It’s composed by Sean Ryan and shows up slightly different in his original notation. However, most people will probably want to play what they’re hearing on this excellent CD. There are a few discrepancies between what the fiddle plays and the flute, but I tend to hear the flute since that’s what I play. This tune goes below the flute’s range, so there’s a little folding and altering here and there to compensate. If you’re a fiddler, at least this will get you pointed in the right direction.
