Great tune. A guitar version appears on Taxi mauve’s "Far Off Fields".
It’s not the "Mick O’Connor’s" that appears on "Redwood".
Seems like there are a lot of different versions of this floating around. The one I learnt at my local session goes something along the lines of this:
T: Larry Redican’s Bow
D2FD A,DFD|E2GE B,EGE|FddA BdAF|GEED EGFE|
D2FD A,DFD|E2GE B,EGE|FddA BdAF|1 GECE D3A,:|2 GECE D3A||
|:~B3A ~B3c|dBBA BdcB|A2 (3cBA eAcB|ABce fcec|
~B3A ~B3c|dBBA BFBc|dBcA BAFE|1 FBBA Baec:|2 FBBA BAFE||
I’ve heard other versions with a very different B-part ending which I’ll post if I can pick it up next session.
Re: Larry Redican’s Bow
This was recorded on a Columbia 78 by fiddler John Gerrity, under the title "Gerrity Reel."
