The Dragonfly

A new jig (August 2005) which I think is in D mixolydian. On the mandolin I slide into the Fnatural in bar 10 and the G in bar 14 and sometiemes play double stops (A and B) respectively to give simple chords and I do a kind of roll like ornament in bars 8 and 16. Have fun with this tune!

Try playing the Lilting Banshee after this one

Just discovered it while trying to oput a set together

I’m always confused by the lack of composer credits here on the session. Is this tune your own composition, Edgar, or does ‘new’ mean new to The Session? If so is it traditional/out of copyright?
Thank you
Tom

Yes I composed it

I agree it’s sometimes a bit frustrating sometimes that the ABCs generated here miss out all those interresting lines like the C: Z: N: etc
