Here is the second reel entitled "Con McGinley’s" on Altan’s Horse w/ A Heart. I submitted the first one months ago, and never got around to the second one. Anyway, here it is.
At root this is called "Miss Crawford" (composed by A McAlpine, found in Kerr’s Merry Melodies), and in Donegal is played under the names "Ríl Bidí ó Bearnas" (or "The Bluebells of Bearnas") and "Con McGinley’s Reel", named after the Glencolumbkille fiddler from whom Altan learned it.
Wow, I love tunes like this. I’ll have to listen to Horse with a Heart again and try and pick it up. Thanks to Nigel for the info.
It’s got a sort of Scott Skinner-y feel about it.
