Anyone know it ?

As played by Seamus Egan, on an RTE TV programme some years ago.

Such faith in me ‘slainte’ but I haven’t a clue. This is one I have never played. Now having played it a few times, I’m sad to say it doesn’t even chip a spark off the flint of my skull. It has a bit of the musichall about it, maybe one of those many American hornpipes, or English? The lack of spark suggests it hasn’t even been stumbled across and given the once through from any musician, session, collection or other sources I’ve visited. Seamus Egan and his crowd dip in to many sources as well as having a bit of the composition bug buzzin’ around them… I’m curious enough to hope the origins eventually show, either here or with me looking elsewhere…
