This is the first of 2 jigs composed by some combination of Maurice Lennon and Kieran Hanrahan when they were members of members of "Stockton’s Wing". I’m about to post the 2nd, and will provide a link.
There is also a reel with the same name.

A lovely jig but don’t they play it in "G" where they then slide up into "A" for the second one. Must try and get individual names for each of the jigs as "Trip to London" seems to be just the set name.

Re: The Trip To London

Need to change the key signature in X:2 to G

“The Trip To London” actually The Four Six Jig

this is NOT "The Trip To London". This is the The Four Six Jig (aka "The Trip To London") composed by Kieran Hanrahan.

Re: The Four Six

Thanks for the correction - I hadn’t seen Maurice’s post. Duly corrected above. I posted both of these tunes in good faith, as "The Trip To London", as that was the only name given on the LP record sleeve. I’m not psychic.

Re: The Four Six

Still need to change the key signature of X:2. See post above from 2 years ago.
