Stockton’s Wing
Picked this off the ‘Inis’ CD - ‘Over the Moor to Maggie’.
Can’t find this Jig on any of the Stckton’s Wing recordings.
Is it on the site in another key perhaps?
O’Dea’s
This tune is on Edinburgh-based flute and fiddle player Claire Mann’s self-titled album. It seems the real name of the tune is O’Dea’s, and attributed to Maurice Lennon and Paul Roche.
Does this man ‘Slainte’ ever sleep? - well done sir!
Thanks Slainte. It was bugging me that I couldn’t remember where I had heard this tune. You just saved me much aggravation.
Well, I do sleep more than you do, Mr. Grouse.
Claire Mann’s version
She plays the tune with a few different things than what is posted here. I’m posting the whole tune and then will point out the differences:
~G3 GBd|BGD ~E3|DGB d2 d|edb def|~g3 ged|edg edB|~e3 edB|gdB ABA:|
|:C3 CBA|Bde d2 e|dBG GBd|gdB ABA|GBd ~g3|ged ede|~e3 edB|gdB ABA:|
Really just a few notes towards the end of each part are different than what is posted here, but just those few notes gives a different feel to the tune. The rolls I’ve added are of course a preference thing and Claire does some other cran-ny like things at times that I haven’t included. She also does a variation in the first two measures of the B part:
|:~e3 edB|ded d2 e|
Anyway, just a few little differences to add when if you play the tune.
Correction
The "b" in the 4th measure of the version I posted above should be a "B". Also, the variation that I listed for the B part, Mann consistently plays this the first time through the B part, and then plays the other variation the second time through.
Claire plays the tune just as Stockton’s Wing play it; the sheet music version here is a simplified form of the tune
Re: O’Dea’s
@Ptarmigan. It appears to be the 3rd tune of the third track in the album entitled The Crooked Rose.

I will try to upload a transcribed score.
O’Dea’s, X:3
This was the version taken from the third track of the The Crooked Rose album by Stockton’s Wing.
