Written by Nuala Kennedy who plays flute & whistle as well as sings with both Fine Friday & Harem Scarem.
I don’t think this tune of hers has been recorded as of yet. I heard it live at a Fine Friday gig, but it’s not on any recording by either band.
As for the story behind the name, Harem Scarem had their first gig at Celtic Connections and the band members all sewed the names of their musical heros in silver sequins on their t-shirts and wore them for the show. Nuala chose Cathal McConnell as her hero and wrote this tune for him.
