Slippery 7/8 tune from Flook

From Flook’s “Haven.” Written by Sarah Allen and Brian Finnegan. Recorded in Bm but played on alto (low A) flute and A whistle with Em fingers.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting this tune! Hoping to coerce some friends into playing this soon

M:7\8

Hi!

Thanks for uploading this tune. You might want to change the abc script a little and leave out the M:7/8 at the end and replace the M:9/8 with 7/8. Otherwise the sheetmusic gets messed up in an abc programme. I figured it out in the end but Barfly went nuts 🙂 notes scattered all over the place 🙂

Hope it helps!
Cheers,

M:7/8

You can’t do that. The website works with some default time signatures and 7/8 is not one of them.

Ignore the Bottom tune.

Please ignore the Emin ABC notation I just posted on the bottom. I was trying the put up notes for one played on a low D whistle, and messed it up. Now realized the Emin one above works great. How do we remove a tune that we have added?

Re: Wrong Foot Forward

Odd, but pretty, nevertheless. Perhaps this should be called a “not so slippery jig” or even a “really slippery jig”.
Definitely crooked enough for a fiddling politician.

JACKB version

Hi JACKB, that 9/8 version is not a bit like how Flook play it - is that just your fun Slip Jig variation or have you actually heard it played like that?
