Single Jig
Source: The Mountain Road by Various Artists
Transcription: gian marco pietrasanta
I’d prefer to play this as a slide rather than a single jig because of the phrasing.

This slide was played by the Triskell Ceiliband in Heidelberg for a Ceili at the first October weekend in 2014.They had no name for this tune. The dancers really liked the tune.Has anybody a name for the tune?
Kevin McHugh’s

Might be better to add your transcription as a 2nd setting…

Thanks sixholes, I added it as a second setting
New version Kevin McHugh’s from playing of Ryan Murphy
Version 4 submitted above comes from the playing of Ryan Murphy at the Ivory session in Glasgow. He doesn’t always include the low: "Ddc" in the second bar of the 2nd part, instead playing a longer high: "d2c".
Alot of the triplet groups starting on A notes in the second part he rolls
I like the lift this version has with the repeated high a’s in the first part, and I thought others might too.

This version in F is based on the second tune of the Adam and Eve set on At the Racket’s Mirth-Making Heroes.
