A Great Hornpipe

This is a fantastic and testing hornpipe - I am only aware of one recording of it, by Liz Doherty, from her album Quare Imagination. if you know of others please submit them.

Is this your own transcription?

I think this was written by Brian McNeill

After further thought - Back o’the North Wind CD by Brian McNeill

No - not me 😉

Nope I can’t claim credit… I’d been looking for this one for a while, and then I came across it in a really exhaustive ABC tunefinder search engine. I thought those not in the know about that site might like to have the dots.

Have a look at

http://trillian.mit.edu/~jc/music/abc/findtune.html

it’s quite good. Like most things in life it has it’s faults.

Tarrantella is spot on.

Re: Drive The Golden Spike

The tune following Drive the Golden Spike in the Brian McNeill recording is called Lang Johnny moir. Have anybody a transcription of it ?
