About the key

I think it’s actually A Maj, not A dor.

Re: Billy Wilson

Anyone know the origin? Sounds old-time to me. Kevin Burke plays it on All in Good Time…

Re: Billy Wilson

I know this tune a "Little Billy Wilson," have played it for years—in the key of A major as pointed out—and consider it an old-time tune. A web search will bring up Chris Carney playing it, as well as Dan Levinson, both old-time players.

Billy Wilson, X:2

This Setting is what I heard from the playing of Patrick Street on their album "All In Good Time". They play it in a set with "Mouth Of The Tobique". It#s played in Amaj here.
