A strange set dance jig with a common name which has only 15 bars.

I think you may find that what you have her is part of the tune "The Drunken Gauger" a set dance from Co. Clare.
Check it out on this site.

Kevin Joyce’s recording of this on "The Final Round" is very good.

That’s strange and could get confusing in a session if you couldn’t play it properly! Just don’t confuse it with the Blackthorn Stick which is also a common Jig, as you all well know anyway.

it isn’t part of the "drunken gauger" is it?
well i didn’t think so, it sounded just like the stick to me. oh well never mind i must have gotten it wrong.
