This is a gentle jig with a rolling rhythm.

This tune sounds nice when it isn’t played too fast. Playing a faster tune after it can sound good. You could even put it before a reel.

Try sliding up to the opening B note. You could also try rolling it. The G at the start of the second part also sounds nice as a slide or a roll.

The old favourite

I usyually play this tune as a 12/8 slide, not as a Jig.

I prefer this played fast as a slide.

The old favourite?

there’s speed in that auld horse yet, wanna bet?

On tonights Ceili House Kieran announced this tune as "jiggy Slide". Funny!

would this Jig be considered a single Jig?

On Flatfish

The tune Flook play on Flatfish is called West Clare on their album, and the link on the ‘Recording’ section leads here, but it’s actually this tune: https://thesession.org/tunes/999
