Written by John McSherry for his daughter. On his CD “Tripswitch”. If you ignore the apparent locations of the downbeats, the tune can be written exclusively in 9/8, but I’ve chosen to show where the major pulses occur by messing with the meter in places.

Great tune thanks

Many thanks for add this sheet!!! Is a lovely melody! And very interesting playing.

I’ve written the version with 9/8ths throughout and all John’s ornamentation that I can discern that isn’t already in jdicarlo’s version. But can someone tell me how to show a slide to a note? I’ve included them as !slide! in the notation but they don’t come out.

In the second bar of the first two lines, John plays an ornament on the bottom D. I’m not sure whether it is a short crann or a cut splitting the note. I’m happy to be corrected but have shown it as the latter for now.
