“The Ptarmigan Highland Fling” ~ that’s it for awhile

Now I have to earn this abuse by submitting some of those old tunes I’ve been working on here. This is further on from the following:

"Farewell To Ballinahulla"

“Dick Glasgow’s Toupé” ~ seeking a more dastardly name for it

I can imagine folks approaching the poor man and yanking his hair ~ "Is that a toupé? Who’s your rug maker?" ;-)

That’s not so funny. I did have an acquaintance who felt the need to wear a rug. Though it was obvious, he was quite sensitive about it. You didn’t mention it, even if it fell off during music making, at home or in concert… I have to say, it was damned hard choking the laughter back…

Alright gang, dinners on ~ Arbroth smokies, Cornish blue cheese, etc., and a Suffolk stout ~ the wife is away ~ bring your instruments and any other brew you fancy and we’ll make some noise…

All for a Slide/Jig/Hop Jig/Single Jig!

Shoot! I’ll have to throw my trusty Toupee away now! - & I was very fond of that old rug too! Och well, I guess I’ll just have to face the World - Au naturale …………….now there’s a scary thought!

Anyway, for what it’s worth, ( I know - not much! ) here’s my modified version of this Strathspey, {humble apologies to any Scots musicians who find this! }:
