A lovely air recently composed by Joanie Madden for a New Zealand man who evidently found her missing camera and was able to trace it back to her . . . by linking the license plate number seen in one of her digital pictures back to her aunt and uncle in England, who then sent it back to Joanie in the U.S.!

Was truly moved when she played this live at a St. Patrick’s Day concert in Burlington, Vermont . . . definitely check out the recording!

I agree its a lovely air. I really like it. I thought the story about finding the camara was funny she is really funny to watch live. I saw them when they came on tour and the did a night in a Manchester.

This is such a beautiful beautiful tune! I have searched for the guitar tabs for this tune but am unable to locate them. Can anyone help me out? I am not a guitar player but I need them for an upcoming wedding!

There is nothing as good as discovering a wonderful gem of a tune such as this. If you ever read this Joanie, thanks so much, it’s a delight to listen to you playing this with Cherish the Ladies. As a South Island, NZ flute and whistle player - the tune evokes for me winter sunlight through the windows on a Sunday afternoon, a pot of tea on the table and a few tunes with friends. Superb, all the best.

Agree with everyone, this is a most lovely tune. (It would take me a while to learn as it is not that easy). Will print me a (dotted) copy. Thanks.

How can I slow down sound. Thanks

Re: The Hills Of New Zealand

A lovely tune. I came across it from Dennis Doyle’s ‘Pathway’ album. I found the dots for it in musescore before this site came up. Naturally no composer credit there. That version does have some tied notes in the B part which matches the Dennis Doyle recording, which works well. They are some of the repeated 16th notes. Does anyone know which version, here or the musescore/Doyle recording is the original?
