Vincent McGrath Composition

This reel is played after my previous submission, “Sean McDonnell’s” on Vincent McGrath’s album.

It reminds me a little bit of the “Sally Gardens” and its one of the first tunes of Vincent’s that I really admired.

Notes from the Sleeve say:

“I named this reel after a fine accordion player and friend of mine from the village of Glengad, about then miles from where I live”.

Another of Vincent McGrath’s compositions?

It’s another nice tune. Has something of The Duke of Leinster about it.

I have his album and am learning the tunes off it so I hope to have the whole album done at some stage. Its a good album (bit of a darkhorse). I only paid €10 for it in Claddagh records.

Clement is a good box player from my locality as is Vincent.
