Errr, might wanna check your ABCs there, the octaves are funky .. And also you forgot the b part! It’s such a nice tune, can’t just put the a parrt! =P
Jeremy, I can’t believe you even take the time out to make sheetmusic for posts like this. Learn abc first before you post!!!!
I was going to say I’ve got a new least favourite tune, but there must be more to this. ?
Someone’s actually added this to their tunebook !
Speaking of sheet music…
How’d you get the current nine measures of sheet music from an ABC of two notes?
(Or is that a stupid question that makes my lack of sight-reading skills obvious?)
Perhaps the tune submitter changed the ABC (as he’s entitled to) after the dots have been published.
I haven’t seen the original ABC so I don’t know whether this is actually the explanation.
Many thanks for all your comments, particularly the good natured ones. The ABC has now been corrected
That is so much better, Geoff - I like the tune, and I think I’m going to teach it to everyone I know! Where did you get it?
I learnd my version from Matt Brown’s "Lone Prairie. Such a lovely tune.. Old timey, good timey!~
Good-natured people learn first before they teach.
Glad to hear from those who like the tune.
I heard it at a session in Acton last week.
Second setting as taught by Bruce Molsky late in 2008.
