I came across this nice tune on Eamonn Coyne’s CD ‘Through the round window’. Eamonn himself gave me some (shaky) ABC which I’ve tidied up for posting here. He says the tune was written by Joe Molloy,a Birmingham banjo player who now lives in Ireland.
A quick search on this site revealed that it is in the Requests section (25 Mar 2005 by Jeremy himself!), so here it is, two years later.
I came across the following setting at a recent session:
T: Hendon Road
C: Joe Molloy

X 1 on C/C# box
Thanks Dr.Dow for submitting this one.
I’ve just played this on my C/C# box and it flows nicely with full bases. Another tune in ‘Dm’ to help fluidity in playing it. I do not have a Bb chord for bar 7 in B music but that does not matter as ‘G’ bass note without chord works or I could remove the 3rd of course.
