Scottish Reel

Excellent Scottish reel, although it’s in Amix, it’s easily playable on a D/G melodeon by crossing rows. I don’t play many in A!

Battlefield play it on Celtic Hotel, amongst others.

June Apple

This a very fine American tune.

North Carolina-SW Virginia

I am not that well versed in tunes from SW VA and NC but, this is one of the most popular tunes from that region of the Appalachians that came from Tommy Jarrell. It sounds "Scottish" like a march but I don’t think it has any known Scottish variants. I’m not sure there are any recorded American variants rather than the "revivalist" versions from the 60’s.

June Apple, X:2

Setting as played at the Golden Guinea pub session, Bristol UK.

I wish I was a June Apple……………

theres a fine old timey version of this tune, with sung verses, by Riley Baugus and Dirk Powell on the cd
Long Steel Rail - probably find it on You Tube somewhere
