Geordie MacLeish reel

A fantastic Scottish reel from the playing og Jerry O’Sullivan.

Cape Breton setting transcribed from Natalie MacMaster’s 2000 album “Showing My Roots.”

MacMaster’s setting is almost identical to that found in Middleton’s Selection (1870) and the Skye Collection (1887).

It seems odd to me how the two parts are so similar, as if they’re the first and third parts of a four-part reel.
