Tumbledown

I got this interesting jig from NYC box player Patty Furlong, who said that the tune’s second section was inspired by some step dancers, who, attempting to execute some heel clicks, well, um, tumbled down. Does anyone know the composer?

Composer

I have this CD in the car at the moment. Composer was James O‘Grady - a piper and fiddler from Luton who plays with the Clare group “Planxty O’Rourke” - according to the sleeve notes.

Tumbledown, X:4

From the playing of Patty Furlong.

Close to X1, which was also transcribed from Patty, but, with a few subtle differences. Most important being the timing of the syncopated part of the turn (X4 matches X3 in this as well).
