2nd Maire Breathnach’s

2nd of 2 polkas composed by Maire Breathnach. ceolachan wasn’t impressed with my transcription of the first, but it sounded OK to me. Hope this one’s better.

For an interesting sound…

try C sharps in the third and seventh measures of the B part.

Found it…..

Maire Breathnach, along with Sharon Shannon, Trevor Hutchison on bass, and Gerry O’Beirne on ukelele[!] played this, plus the 1st polka - link above - on a BBC Scotland Gaelic programme , must be over 10 years ago. I just came across them on a video tape. This tune is called "The Parallel" Polka.
