Downton Bridge

This tune popped into my head while watching young trout from a bridge near Downton, on the south side of Salisbury.

Downton Bridge

I like this one; and having fished a lot when younger, I am familiar with the intense reverie with which one contemplates a nice trout under a bridge, often combined with plotting how best to get it into a frying-pan.

Downton Bridge, X:2

Slight variation, third part added on the fly (geddit?) while playing the tune at Thursday night’s session in the Stillage.

Very nice little jig that

Very nice little jig that - got a nice bounce going in it
