I know…

It doesn’t look/sound like a reel… but Walter Ireland… born before 1900 who played this tune in the 30s or 40s in Greene County Pennsylvania called it a reel.

This is one I am learning right now on de fiddle… very nice tune in my humble opinioning… Mr. Ireland, (cool last name eh?) played this in an alternate tuning AEAE… or if you want a bit lower… GDGD… I keep one of my fiddles in GDGD all the time.

Mr. Ireland called it simply "reel"… I’d like to give credit to the man who is "done gone on" and call it "Ireland’s Reel."
