Leaping Lulu

A nice little tune a friend of mine found in a tunebook. My group plays this tune followed by The Blarney Pilgrim.

"Composed in 1972 while traveling in England by Greg Boardman, fiddler for the Maine band The Moosetones, on the occassion of hearing of friends’ expecting a child to be named Lulu."

Now that’s a lovely little tune. I really like the change from B-Minor to A-Major.

If you keep the chords really simple, you can play a very nice and effective backing to it: (chords in parentheses only on second repeat)
