I find that mathematical concepts make really good tune names, don’t you think? I’m considering writing another one and calling it ‘Integration’, then I can play them as a set and call it ‘Calculus’……
Anyway, my mind wanders. Yes, I wrote this tune last night in a fit of boredom, hence the three different keys. Part A is in E minor, part B is in D mixolydian, and part C is E major. And then back to minor for the beginning.
I find the bowing quite hard in the beginning if the 1st and 2nd parts. I can’t seem to make it flow (and this my own tune, oh the shame….).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
Here are a few more,
The Cyclotomic Polkas (nos 1, 2 and 3, of course)
The Minkowski Jig
The Fermat Slide
The Quadratic Residue Hornpipe
and not forgetting the king of them all …
The Ramanujan-Nagell Reel
How about the Babbage Barndance?
