Bouree Sans Souci
Not traditional and not Irish ( forgive me! ) and of course not a berndance, here is a self composed tune.
I don’t know, it coud be a Berne Dance… 8-)
I know I risk being lynched, or at the least tar-and-feathered, but nice melody… ;-)
To my feelings this does not sound really like a Bouree and it has some eastern/jewish touch. Maybe it should be renamed as "Leopold Blooms’ Frailich" or "The Klezmorim from Liguria" ;-)
Nice melody anyway!
sisspipwer, you are right about the melody, actually it has an eastern/jewish touch, but the division ( the lenght of the notes in the measure ) is inpired by another bouree I know.
Alternate 4th measure of the B part

Araber Tantz ~ Bulgar ~ Freylakh ~ 8-)
‘sispipwer’ ~ ? Yes, that is also what takes me and why I like it, but I have been able to dance a bouree to it and what’s wrong with a cross-over anyway? Don’t you thing that maybe going ‘freylakh’ with it would be a little too fast and steamy?
This title sound much more Irish and so this lovely tune can withstand the trad police much better, especially in its uilleann pipes version:
