This is another tune from the Joshua Jackson manuscripts that I recall having danced to at wild ceilidhs in years gone by, but never known its name before. This tune is JMS 53 and its notated for dance as follows:
"hey contrary sides ./ the same on your own sides ./ lead down up again and cast off .// lead out sides .//"
Aslo shown is an adaptation for a 3-couple set:
A1 1st couples cross and hey on opposite sides
A2 1st couples cross back and hey on own side
B1 Lead down and back and cast to middle
B2 1st couples lead through sides then lead down the middle to the bottom
