Credit for the tune ABCs
This version copied and pasted from a discussion submission by LH credit to him/her. There’s a very nice recording of this tune on Joe Burke’s "The Morning Mist paired with "THe Frog in the Well". I was surprised not to find it already posted by someone.
I think composed by Joe’s wife, the equally-talented Anne Conroy-Burke.
Corrections for this tune, its composed by Anne Conroy-Burke
Hi macbox, I’m LH and I’m a her.
Actually this entry is not in its correct setting. The key of the tune is not Ddor and a number of the notes diverge from the original. I had purposely not submitted it as a formal entry in the tune database - because it was not the original version of the tune. So just wanted to add some important information about this. Here is the original setting which has since been sent to me by Joe and Anne Burke. This is the way Anne composed the tune.

I have also now submitted this as an additional entry https://thesession.org/tunes/8610 which I hope shows up, as it is important that this be available in its original form from the living composer.

Don’t know why the composer’s own tune was not put up here, but the original form of it, by the composer, Ann Conroy- Burke, is now on the web here:
Currants for Cakes, Raisins for Everything
The third setting is *mostly* based on Edel Fox’s version on her solo album. She learned the tune from Clare fiddler James Cullinan, who now lives around where Edel comes from.
