Another great single jig, #403 in Oneill’s 1001 Jigs, Reels, Hornpipes, Airs and Marches, that ought to be played more often.
This is a good tune to play early on in a session. Because its not as “notey” as faster jigs and reels it gives less experienced players an accessible tune to learn and play along with while the more experienced have a chance to warm up. The syncopations in both parts and the f & c naturals in the B part make the tune more interesting.
