Forgotten fling

It’s a very beautiful slow air played on the low whistle by Dervish, as an intro to “The jolly tinker”. A nice set !

Forgotten Fling, X:2

This is the tune played by Connie O’Connell, Áine Ni Chonaill and friends on the album ‘Ceol Cill na Martra’. They play it very much as a reel. I believe it was written by Connie O’Connell. Cill na Martra in County Cork is where Connie is from.

Her golden hair hung down in ringlets

The tune that follows the ‘Forgotten fling’ on Connie O’Connell’s album is here:

See version 6.
He calls it ‘Her golden hair hung down in ringlets’.

Re: Forgotten Fling

Great slow air! It reminds me of a march called James Cameron.
