The Westmorland Waltz

Another nice tune from The Boat Band’s album "A Trip To The Lakes", a collection of tunes played in the English Lake District.

For the young(!), Westmorland was a small county subsumed into Cumbria in 1974, its county town being Kendal. It consists of livestock in delectable scenery: the latter includes a bit of the Lakes, and valleys and hills to the east.

This is a Playford tune, originally in 6-4

The county town of Westmorland is actually Appleby, or
‘Appleby in Westmorland’ as it has been known since 1974.

Westmoreland

This seems like a tune that should have lyrics. Are there any lyrics?

"The county town of Westmorland is actually Appleby, or ‘Appleby in Westmorland’ as it has been known since 1974." - Thanks gambrinus, I stand corrected! 🙂
