Does anyone here know the origin of this tune? It’s published in The Lewes Favourites, with a picture of the real Metal Man at the entrance to Sligo Harbour. However, as it wasn’t on here already, is it of Irish origin?

don’t know but it’s lovely…..

Re: Metal Man

Robin Dransfield’s brother Barry Dransfield included Metal Man on his Bowin’ and Scrapin’ record, released in 1978. Unavailable for years, you can download this album now through the wonders of the digital age.

Hill-billy sound maybe?^
