This is probably a version of “Old Ruined Cottage” or “Lovely Molly”: https://thesession.org/tunes/557
Is there any info from the sleeve notes relating to which Bolton St is in question? There is a Bolton St here on Dublin’s north-side. Its very close to Church St, where there was a great music club in the 1950s and 60s. I wonder is there a connection there somewhere. I would definitely be interested to know.
12 years later - no information in the sleeve notes Patrick other than the tune comes from the Grier collection.
