I read that George Johnstone, the composer of this tune, was Pipe Major of the 1st Battalion Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders after WW2. Does someone know if this is correct?

George was born in 1929 and died ten years ago. He and his brother Ronald played in the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band with my dad and uncle and the Steele brothers (all from South Uist) . After being in the army George was a Lighthouse keeper at Rubha Reidh and other places with the Northern Lighthouse Board. I don’t think he was ever P/M with the Queens Own though.
