The Merry Old Maid

I learned this tune years ago playing fingerstyle guitar, but hadn’t played it in a while and couldn’t quite remember the B part. In looking for the dots to refresh my memory I couldn’t find it here, though I ran across a few tunes that were close. I haven’t heard it in a session recently, but it seems like I heard it a lot in years past.

The tune appears in O’Neill’s as no. 738, and credit where credit is due, the transcription into abc was done by Michael Hogan.

It’s a nice little tune that sets well on the mandolin.
