‘Actually D dorian’….groan.

Yep, a great tune, in D, though both eolian (feel that minor 6th!) and dorian.

Michael L. Allen, a five-string banjo player who I met in Tokyo, played this tune at the Winfield Bluegrass Festival, and won the banjo competition. I had learned this tune from Liz Carroll herself, as had he.. So it was just amazing to play this tune with Mike in Tokyo. Who would’ve guessed!
