Ive learnt this from the Boldwood album ‘Feet Don’t Fail Me Now’. The tune is English and was discovered by Becky Price of Boldwood in unpublished manuscripts in the Vaughan Williams Library at Cecil Sharp House in London (UK).
I like this one a lot, thank you for sharing it with us.
It’s in A minor as Great Lord Frog and Lady Mouse at https://digital.nls.uk/special-collections-of-printed-music/archive/90474998. This is page 35 of an opera of 1731 called "Sylvia or The Country Burial". The very unsatisfactory words to the tune are:
At Table thus my Master feeds;
Till he has done, I look on;
When the Second Course succeeds
The first is left, like you.
As I in Love my Master serve,
Sure, I don’t so ill deserve,
Tho’ enough remains, to starve?
I seizc you as my Due.
