found in an old Swiss tune book where it is calles “Hirtenlied (aus Norwegen)” meaning Herder’s song from Norway. Not really Irish trad, but it fits somehow to this tradition and it was even played in sessions already.

“The Lonely Goatherd” is much further away from any Alpine music than Riverdance from IrTrad…
