O’Neill’s 1850, #480

… is in F (like the transcription here, there is an interesting emphasis on the 6th—the minor tonic—at the phrase endings). I think I prefer it in that key. In any case, it gives an option with historical precedent.

Goat’s Song

This is my arrangement as a jig of a tune in O’Neill’s "Music of Ireland" (#480), where it appears in D minor. Seems too good a tune to languish in "The 1850" Airs section!
