Leyeer’s Hornpipe

Transcribed from the box playing of Annette Owens on "Hidden Fermanagh Vol.1." The version on the Hidden Fermanagh Book has only two parts, but the recorded version has an extra part.

The tune is from the Gunn Book, a manuscript of tunes compiled in the 1860s by John Gunn.

Re: Miss Leyeer’s

This is a setting of Logier’s Hornpipe (https://thesession.org/tunes/2028), and so the addition of "Miss" to the title in the Hidden Fermanagh book, "Leyeer’s Hornpipe", is incorrect. The person in question was Johann Bernhard Logier. He was a "Herr", not a "her"!
