Jimmy Keane’s Hornpipe

As notated on the Liz Carroll/Tommy Maguire LP ‘Kiss me Kate’. Very nice minor the 2nd time through the B part. Jimmy Keane is the only accordianist I’ve heard who can make a piano accordian sound like a button box.

Spider’s in the Bathtub

This hornpipe is one of the first tunes I wrote and named it Spiders in the Bathtub (a long story which I’ll tell at some point). The late Tommy Maguire asked me permission to add a variation on the second time around the second part (the minor bit) and I gladly agreed. I always loved Tommy playing my tune with the variation, although I don’t play it like that myself.
