Six comments

Composed by Gerry Harrington, who originally recorded it on *The Smoky Chimney* with Eoghan O‘Sullivan and Paul De Grae. My transcription is based on Desy Adams’ version that he plays on *Wooden Flute Obsession 3*, minus ornamentation.

Peter Horan Jig

My transcription from the playing of Michael McGoldrick at a workshop (from a recording made by a friend). He knows it as Peter Horan Jig.

This is Gerry Harrington’s version, as close as I can get it:

Having gone to the effort of working out the tune from Gerry Harrington’s record I’ve just realised it is identical to McGoldrick’s version!

The Furze In Bloom, X:4

I absolutely love playing this tune with the chromatic harmonica. It will always be in my repertoire. I never played or heard it in a session, this is one of those tunes that I enjoy playing in the quietness of my home. I learned it from this video that my friend PJ did in YouTube quite long time ago, it is the first tune in the set:
